Leonard Day Beebe Sr.

Norwich – Leonard D. Beebe Sr, passed away surrounded by family on April 22nd. He is

survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Beebe. He is also survived by his children Linda Marino & husband Joe, Stella Rondeau & husband Norman, Mary Ann Willis & husband Chuck, Leonard D Beebe Jr & wife Rose, 9 grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter Patricia Beebe-Phillips, and a grand-daughter Tonya M Beebe.

Leonard was a Korean War veteran & hero. Leonard was a member of Local 478 Heavy Equipment Union, and drove tractor trailer trucks in and around CT. Leonard enjoyed his many years racing at Waterford Speedbowl, being a spectator at the Waterford Speedbowl, and watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed camping with his family, fishing, playing cards on Friday nights, and playing with his beloved dog Peanut.

You could always count on him for a laugh and a good joke, and he was there to help see the positive side in things. Leonard will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29th at 10am at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 753 Norwich-Salem Tnpk., Oakdale, CT. Burial will immediately follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Depot Rd., Uncasville, CT. Visitation will be Friday evening, April 28th from 5pm-8pm at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT.
