Lucille attended Norwich Free Academy and later worked as an assembler at American Thermos, where she dedicated many years before retiring. She especially cherished her time as a young woman ushering at the Loew's Poli Theater in Norwich—a place that held special meaning for her, as it was there she met the love of her life, her husband, Herman.
Lucille had a passion for gardening and took great joy in tending to her flowers and plants. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her children Gary (John) of Las Vegas, NV; Tom (LeAnn) of Chesapeake, VA; and James (the late Mariette Larkin) of Montville, CT. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Michelle Baillargeon of Virginia Beach, VA; Lauren (Adam) Friedlander of Virginia Beach, VA; Debra (Joe) Liddon of Virginia Beach, VA; and Paul (Karina) Werling Jr. of Durham, NC; as well as nine cherished great-grandchildren.
Lucille was predeceased by her devoted husband, Herman, and her nine siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich, CT. Following the Mass, a procession will take place to St. Joseph Cemetery for burial.
Lucille will be remembered for her warmth, faith, and unwavering love for her family.
