She was born July 7, 1936, in Staverton, England, to the late William Henry Goodenough and Dorothy Mary Goodenough. She married Peter Goland-Robinson in Staverton, England, on June 3, 1961.
Mary retired from The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich after working there for many years. She was a member of the Norwich Alliance Church. She enjoyed her tea, crocheting, antique shopping, the occasional lobster roll, and watching the telly.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Mark Robinson and his wife Kari of Lisbon; David Robinson and his wife Tammy of Madison, and Jeffrey Robinson and his wife Heather of Raleigh, N.C.; and her sister, Anne (Goodenough) Penn and her brothers, John, Brian, and Ted Goodenough. She is predeceased by her husband, Peter Goland-Robinson, and brothers, Len and Derek Goodenough.
Also left behind are her beautiful and caring grandchildren, Jaime, Nikki, Mason Robinson, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving family, Mary is survived by a lifetime of friends who will forever be grateful for the light she brought into their lives. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and the positive impact she had on those fortunate enough to call her a friend.
A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, on Friday, December 1st, at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon reception at Prime 82, 181 West Town Street.
