

She was born in Wilsonville, CT on Feb. 19, 1921 to the late Antoni Moses and Giovanna (Slonga) DeCarli. On May 4, 1946, she married her beloved husband, Oscar at St. Joseph Church in North Grosvenordale, CT. He predeceased her on Feb. 8, 1978.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Catholic. She gave of herself without hesitation and truly enjoyed life. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Mary Fischer Elementary School in Thompson, CT and New Covenant Children Church School in Pompano, FL and was an active participant in the Rose City Seniors, TVCCA foster grandparent program, was an avid painter and artist and was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, CT.
She is survived by her sons; Robert Morrison of E. Hartford, James Morrison and partner, Doreen Dusza of W. Hartford, and John Morrison and wife, Anita Domler Morrison of E. Hartford, a daughter; Mary Tougas of Salem, grandchildren; Chuck, Lee, Jamie, Kristopher, Emily, Ben, Abby, Jeremy, Gregg, and Ashley, great-granddaughters; Charlie and Emma Ro, a sister; Theresa Hostak, and her Godchild, Beverly Kenniston. Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by her sisters; Margaret Morin, Edith Roteth, Amelia DeCarli and Clara DeCarli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, 12 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT on Tuesday, April 18th at 12 noon with burial immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be a calling hour one hour prior to the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Madonna House, 240 Main Street, Norwich, CT 06360.
