Minerva was born March 1, 1945 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Victor and Ramonita (Gonzalez) Lugo.
She was the matriarch of her family, and her family was the most important part of her life. She was a loving mother who taught her daughter the importance of family and how to love unconditionally. She was also a wonderful grandmother who spoiled her grandson (the motor of her heart) and her granddaughter (her sunshine). She had a huge heart and was a very unselfish person who helped everyone. She loved to read romantic novels and cook, and especially loved history, doing word searches, and popping bubblewrap. She loved to travel to places she had never been before and also enjoyed going for rides in the countryside. She was always known to say “Be a leader, not a follower”. She touched many lives and will be forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her daughter Edith Eghbalighahyazi, brother Salome Fragoso, sisters Norma L. Cordero, Margarita Cordero, grandchildren Wilberto Rodriguez Jr. and Amarilys M. Rodriguez.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Luis A. Lugo, Jorge Serrano and by her sister Myrna Lamboy Lugo.
