Norwich-Robert Clark Allen, age 86, of Norwich, passed away at his home on March 24, 2026. He was born in Hartford on March 21, 1940 to the late Charles and Violet (Clark) Allen. He married Cherri (Newcomb) Allen on December 4, 1993.
Robert attended West Hartford schools and graduated from Watkins High School. He worked as a shipping manager for Grey and Prior Machine in Bloomfield for 36 years. He was an honorary member of the Yantic Fire Department.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by son Robert J. Allen or Norwich, a son William C. Allen of Colchester, a stepson Chris Clang of SC, and a stepdaughter Mary Clang of Boston. He also leaves behind granddaughters Lauren and Ava Allen of Norwich as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his former wife Joanne Jakobek, a sister Nancy Nelligan, and a stepson James Clang.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 30th at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Boswell Ave., Norwich.
