Robert Clark Rieffer

Bob was born November 29, 1947 in Cusing, OK, the son of the late Randolph and Mary A. (Rush) Young.

He was married to the late Carolyn June Rieffer who passed away April 10, 2017.

Bob served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne, where he was a Purple Heart recipient and was nominated for the Silver Star.

He had worked as a slot attendant at Foxwoods Casino for over 18 years. Bob loved to fish and was an avid reader of Bassmaster’s Magazine. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved watching Jeopardy.

He is survived by his brother Charlie Riefer, sister Micaela Mellen, by his step children John Wirth, Susan Jonas, Patrick Wirth, Danny Wirth, Peggy Lufkin, Mark Wirth and Mary Wirth and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Rick Riefer and by his stepson Tom Wirth.

Funeral services will be private for the family.
