

Shirley was born in Norwich on February 17th, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph & Margaret (Griffin) Green. She graduated from N.F.A. in 1941 and from the Mary Elizabeth Academy of Hairdressing in New London thereafter. She owned and operated The Beauty Box with her 2 partners in New London for 40 years.
In 1944 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Norwich, she married Albert Francis Page. His submarine, the Sea Wolf, was lost at sea in 1944.
Shirley is survived by one sister; Marie McClimon of Preston, two sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews and Kitty Green who was like a sister to her. She was predeceased by three brothers; Joseph L. Green, Ernest J Green and Francis P Green, a sister; Anita Jackson, and two nephews; James B. McClimon and Richard A Green and one brother-in-law, Richard McClimon. She was also predeceased by her long-time companion, Stanley F. Gonet, who died on August 22, 1985.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00amat Saints Peter & Paul Church, 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Norwich. A Calling Hour will be held before Mass from 9:30am – 10:30am at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT.
