Walter C Austin Jr

Walter was born in Watertown, NY on August 29th, 1938 to the late Walter and Dorothy (LaBarge) Austin Sr. After school, he worked as a Civil Engineer for the State of Connecticut until his retirement. When not at work, he enjoyed being a Shriner, Mason, member of the First Congregational Church, the Young Married Couples Club, and was an avid Yankees fan. He was also a locksmith hobbyist and car enthusiast.

Walter is survived by his sons; Joseph H. Austin and his wife Ellin of Holliston MA, Michael D. Austin of Portland, OR, sisters; Marilyn Minor and her husband Richard of Loveland, CO, Joanne McNeil of North Stonington, CT, grandchildren; Michael Austin of Blackstone, MA, Katherine Austin of Blackstone, MA, Jessica and Rick Harris of Portland, OR, two great-grandchildren; Avalyn Lucero and Gabriel Harris of Portland, OR, and life-long friends; Bill and Joyce Sullivan of Norwich, CT.
