Alan Davidson

Alan C. Davidson, 81, of Port Crane, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. Alan was born in Rochester on February 25, 1942 to the late Howard and Marian Davidson. He was also predeceased by his sons, Michael Clark and Kenneth Clark; his granddaughter, Crystal Meyer; and his grandson, Michael Meyer. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Pauline; his daughter, Linda and Dan Meyer, of Sherburne; his grandchildren, Nicole and Joe Isaacs, of Sherburne, Jeremiah and Sheila Clark, of Earlville, Dustin and Rebekah Meyer, of Oakland, TN, David Clark, of NC, Dennis and Erin Clark, of NC, and Britney Nelson, of AZ; many great-grandchildren; his brother, Daniel Davidson; as well as his very close friends, Ed and Barb Lawton.

Alan was employed for many years at Proctor and Gamble in Norwich, was an active member of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Norwich where he sang in the choir, and he was a loyal fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, October 13, at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 81 E. Main St. Norwich with Fr. Ralph Bove officiating. Burial will follow in Port Crane Cemetery. The family will receive friends at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
