Anthony Chris Hirsch

Chris was born on December 12, 1943 in the Bronx the son of Anton and Genevieve (Donovan) Hirsch. He grew up in Oxford where he attended and graduated from the Oxford High School. He furthered his education by attending SUNY Morrisville where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Behavorial Science. He had worked for Camp Mesorah in Guilford, Opportunities for Chenango and most recently CIT of Norwich.

Chris has made his home in Norwich for many years. He enjoyed a good conversation, loved to stroll the streets of Norwich, liked going to the YMCA and enjoyed playing the lottery. He was very proud of the fact that he had run the AA meeting for many years.

On September 1, 2003 in Norwich he married Wanda Bartle who survives. Besides his wife Wanda of Norwich, Chris is survived by his step-children Nicole Towndrow, Michael Towndrow, David Towndrow and wife Becky all of Unadilla, his sister Patricia Hirsch of Long Island and his brother Theodore Hirsch along with 8 step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from2-4 pm. There will be no formal funeral services.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
