Araminta R Fravel

It is with great sadness that the family of Araminta (Mindy) Fravel announces the passing of Mindy at the age of 92 years. Just weeks short of her 93rd birthday. She passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on April 3, 1932, in the town of Guilford NY to Edward and Ethel Harrington. She was a resident of Norwich, NY. Mindy worked as a secretary at Victory Markets in Norwich. After retiring she provided at home care for others and enjoyed time with her family, visiting friends and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Ted (Colleen) Williams, Corrine (Danny) Menard, Ed Gates, and Lee (Daphine) Gates; her grandchildren, Fred (Maunica) Williams, Ted Williams Jr, Craig Williams, Ashley (James) Volkes, Courtney Williams, Travis (Stephanie) Ashcraft, Tonya (Nick) Barnes, TJ (Hope) Miller, and Amber (Timothy) Ray; as well as many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ethel Harrington; her husband, Roy Fravel; her daughter in law, Darby Gates; her grandson, Danny Gates; her brothers and sisters in law, David (Roise) Harrington, Paul (Kay) Harrington, and Robert Harrington.

A funeral service will be held May 15th 2025 at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Richard howard
