Mary L Clark

Mary L. Clark, 84, a lifelong resident of Mount Upton, passed away on July 5, 2023 with her loved ones at her side. She was born in New Berlin on April 7, 1939 to the late Harold and Vera (Hayes) Miles. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Clark, and her son David C. Clark. Survivors include her sons, Robert J. (Patricia) Clark, and Gary A. Clark (Laurie McDaniels); her grandchildren, Chelsey (Matt) Fisher, Adam Clark, Andrew (Ashley) Kopf, Matthew (Erica) Kopf, Gary “Buddy” (Ashley) Clark, Misty (Marcus) Scott, Devin (Jasmine) Clark, Cody Clark, and Audrielle Clark; her great-grandchildren, Abigail Kopf, Freddy Cheseboro, Zack Cheseboro, Jenny Scott, Lissy Scott, and Slade Scott.

Mary attended and graduated from Mount Upton School and went on to Albany Cosmetology College. She was the proprietor of Mary Lou’s Beauty Shop in Mount Upton for over 50 years. Mary kept herself busy in her community by volunteering as a secretary for Maplewood Cemetery, serving on the committee for BSA Troop #60, volunteering for the census department, Borden Hose Fire Department, and various Town of Guilford committees. She was a longtime member of Mount Upton United Methodist Church.

Graveside services for Mary will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 16, at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Upton with Rev. Mary Rublee officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Chenango Memorial Hospital ICU at 179 N. Broad St. Norwich, NY 13815.
