

Richard William Pittsley, 64, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at his home in Oxford, New York. He was born in Norwich on April 22, 1955 and grew up in Norwich where he earned his diploma. Richard made a career in the floor tech and maintenance industry. Over the years he was employed by The Shoe Factory and retired from Walmart. After retiring from Walmart he continued to work for another 4 years as a floor technician at a cleaning company and also continued to manage his lawn care business.
Richard loved life and enjoyed many years of attending NASCAR races. He enjoyed sitting around a fire with family while camping. He loved every minute that he got to spend with family.
Richard is survived by his loving companion of 17 years, Nancy Coleman, his former wife Mona Pittsley, daughters Veronica (Shawn) Houck, Victoria (Bruce) Miller, BetteJo Loeffler, Alicia Pittsley (Sam Hatch) and his stepdaughter Tonia Root. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren, two great-grandsons, his step-mother Marjorie Pittsley, his siblings Edna Brown, Diana Pittsley Wall, Kimberly Burrell, Lynette Wheeler, Cindy Pittsley, Clark Pittsley, Jefferson Pittsley and Gerald Pittsley. Several nieces, nephews also survive.
At Richards request there will be no calling hours and a private burial will be in Beaver Meadow next to his father. A Celebration of Life for Richard will be held at a later time.
