CAIRNS, Anne T. of Arlington, Texas died December 30, 2012. She was born in Naugatuck, CT on July, 30 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Zagraniski. Mrs. Cairns was educated in CT and graduated from the Backus Hospital School of Nursing in Norwich, CT. She continued her education at the St. Vincent Hospital School of Anesthesia, graduating as a nurse anesthetist. In 1954, she moved to Norwood, Mass. and worked in the operating room at Norwood Hospital for a number of years. She retired in 1986 from the Utilization Review Department of Blue Cross/Blue Shield. In 2010, she moved to Arlington, TX to be closer to her family. Anne was the wife of the late Norman Cairns; she is survived by a son, William and his wife, Lee Ann, three granddaughters, Laura, Julie, and Kathryn, two great granddaughters, Madison and Reagan, and nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood, MA on Friday January 4th at 10 am. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Wrentham.
