

Anne Elizabeth Lynch-Isberg, 64, of Norwood, passed away peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, in Boston, on August 6th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous and long fought battle with cancer.
Anne was the beloved wife to the late Stephen Gerard Isberg. Loving mother to Robert Edward Ayala of Scituate, Sean Michael Isberg and his long-time girlfriend Kaitlyn McDonough of Boston, and Brandon Stephen Isberg of Norwood. Beloved sister to Michael Lynch, and his wife Monique of Hingham, Paul Lynch, and his wife Meredith of Marshfield, Linda Lynch of Weymouth, and Brian Lynch, and his wife Tami of Scituate. Anne truly was cherished by so many and will also be lovingly remembered by her countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and her two cats Chloe and Emmy.
Born in Boston, on February 19th, 1959, to the late Harold Paul "Happy" and Anne Elizabeth "Betty" Lynch, Anne was the second oldest of five siblings. She grew up in Scituate, prior to moving to Norwood, where she resided for over 20 years. To know Anne was to love Anne. She was a thoughtful, strong-willed, and a self-reliant woman, who would do absolutely anything for anyone. Anne always thought of others before herself and her family could always count on her to remind them of the important dates and events in life. In addition to her sons who were her entire world, Anne’s other life purpose came through her passion for helping others. She worked in the social service industry as a social worker, where she touched and changed countless lives. In her spare-time, Anne enjoyed summers spent by the pool with friends, trips to Martha's Vineyard with her family, and nights out in the North End capped off with a pistachio cannoli.
Anne’s sons and family wish to thank the Oncology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for their unwavering support, collaboration, and care for Anne.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Route 1A), Norwood on Thursday August 10, 2023 from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate on Friday August 11, 2023 at 10 AM. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
