O’LEARY, Gerald J. “Gerry”, 63, of Norwood, died Sunday, Oct. 21, in Norwood. The son of the late Joseph O’Leary and Isabel (Brophy), he is survived by his friend and confidant of 18 years, Margaret Montgomery, a step-daughter, Margo Scott, both of Dedham, and many friends. He was a machinist at Polaroid and 3M for many years until his retirement. He loved animals, was a member of the Audubon Society, and was an avid sports fan, including of the Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the New England Revolution. He also enjoyed King Richard’s Faire, classic rock and country and western music.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30th at 4:00 p.m. at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tues., Oct. 30th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be private.
