

Helen Theresa (Hanlon) Norton, age 93, of Winchester, formerly of Canton and Sandwich, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James Hanlon and Margaret (McHugh) Hanlon.
Helen graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Dorchester in 1948 and worked at Factory Mutual in Norwood, and Caritas in Norwood before retiring. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed reading. Helen loved to spend time at the beach on Cape Cod.
Helen was married to the late Albert Norton. She is survived by her children Maureen DaCosta and Stephen of Reading, and Stephanie Nadolny and Edward of Honolulu, HI; her grandchildren Edward Nadolny, Sophie Nadolny, Meaghan DaCosta, and Alison Hanson; and her great-grandchildren Abigail Hanson and Caleb Hanson; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, notably Janice Kelley . A special thanks to Rosa at Brookdale Senior Living, and Carmine at Winchester Nursing Center, who took special care of Helen. She valued their friendships. She joins her late siblings, George Hanlon and Constance, Edward Hanlon and Mildred, John Hanlon, his first wife Abigail, and his second wife Lillian, Margaret Kelley and Francis, and James Hanlon and Frances.
Visiting Hours in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St, (Rt.1A) NORWOOD, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 5PM-8PM and again on Wednesday, May 7 from 10:30AM-11:30AM prior to the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 11:30AM. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
