Joan (Gant) Moore, 83 of Norwood, formerly of Signal Mountain (TN) and Boynton Beach (FL), passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21. Born in Lincoln, NE, Joan was the daughter of the late George Franklin, and Jeannette Louise (Cassaday) Gant. Above all, Joan was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to the well-being of her “three boys,” Edward Blake Moore, Jr., George Porter Moore, and Robert Franklin Moore. She did everything for them.
Along with her loving sons, Joan will be forever missed by her sister, Jill Kimmich (Gant), brother, Charles Gant, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and nieces. She treasured the friendships made over the years through tennis, bridge, church, and work. Her warm smile and fun sense of humor made everything feel just a little bit better and that much easier.
