John P. Caron

CARON, John Peter , 83, of Norwood, Sunday, November 24. Born in Stoughton, May 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Peter P. and Yolanda (Carracita) Caron, the beloved husband of the late Margaret Ann (Flaherty) Caron; the dear friend of Marlene DiNino of Everett; the loving father of Paul J. Caron and his wife, Donna of NH, Michael F. Caron and his wife, Cheryl of Walpole, and Maryellen Lennon-Arms and her husband, Matthew Arms of Norwood; devoted brother of the late Alice Caron and the late Walter Caron; cherished grandfather of Gregory, Brenda, Andrea, Olivia, Jessica, Julia, Bobby, and Matthew and great-grandfather of Jack, Abigail and Savannah. John is also survived by several nieces and nephews. John served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He also served as firefighter in Norwood for over 25 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM noon on Friday, November 29, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Norwood Firefighters’ Relief Association, 135 Nahatan St., Norwood, MA 02062.
