Katherine M. St. Cyr

Born December 1, 1957, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rita “Pat” (Grogan) Kane.

Kathy’s life will be cherished forever in the lives of her loving husband of 43 years, Geoffrey St. Cyr; her loving children, Jamie Mitchell and husband Michael of Walpole, Scott St. Cyr and wife Caitlin of Millis, Jill McGovern and husband Kevin of Foxboro, Katie St. Cyr of Walpole. She was Nana to her adored grandchildren Kyle, Corinne, and Kole; devoted sister of Linda Masterson and late husband Joseph of Sharon, the late Thomas Kane of Norwood, Patricia Hoey of Wareham and Francis Hoey of Jamaica Plain, Mark Kane and wife Debra of Walpole and James Kane and wife Susan of Norwood. Kathy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Kathy’s passion in life was spending time with her family. Nothing meant more to her than spoiling her grandchildren. She forever instilled hard work and love for one another, and these values did not stop with family. Kathy was an active force in bettering her beloved community of Norwood, most notable was her devotion to the Norwood Circle of Hope. While never taking the credit for anything she accomplished, Kathy instead gave acknowledgement to everyone who helped make everything successful. She will always be missed and leaves a legacy of love. She will be remembered for her creativity, strong work ethic, and her extreme hunts for a good bargain.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from 4 to 8pm at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at St. Timothy Church, Norwood at 10:30am with interment to follow at New Westwood Cemetery in Westwood.
