Margaret "Peggy" McFarland

Margaret “Peggy” Mary (Delaney) McFarland, 86, of Needham, formerly of West Roxbury and Duxbury, Thursday, June 18, 2015. Born in Winthrop, the daughter of the late Thomas and Marion (Ball) Delaney, Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. McFarland; the loving mother of Edward P. McFarland, Jr. and his wife, Janice of Plainville, Peter T. McFarland and his wife, Robin, William J. McFarland and his wife, Susan and David P. McFarland, all of Norwood; the cherished grandmother of Mary Kate, Lauren, Susanne, Andrew, Colleen, Colin, and Allison McFarland; the dear sister of M. Susan Lydon of Norwood and the late Doris Gallagher and Ellen, Thomas, Edward and Francis Delaney; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. Her funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22nd, at 9:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. Burial will follow at Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
