Marie C. (Hickey) Monahan

Born in Boston, Marie was the daughter of the late Jeffrey J. and Margaret (Crowley) Hickey and the beloved wife of John F. “Jack” Monahan. Devoted sister of the late Edward J. Hickey, Sr.; loving aunt of Eileen Hickey, Mary Hickey, Edward J. Hickey, Jr. and his wife Sharon, all of Norwood, Patricia A. Bates and her husband Rodney of Laconia, NH and the late Margaret “Peggy” Hickey; cherished great-aunt of Connor Bates of Laconia, NH and Shauna, Jeffrey and Patrick Hickey, all of Norwood.

Marie worked for Shawmut Bank for 43 years and was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Church Sodality in Norwood.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at 9:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, 176 Washington Street, E. Walpole. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home.
