Kathleen, Tim, Ellen and Thomas,

Our deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mom. She was a wonderful person. I remember her as always so positive about everything and she brought real cheer to the neighborhood. Her smile was beautiful and made us all feel welcome even when we might have been roughhousing a little too much in the backyard between Ahearns, Hunts and Phalens.

Dear Ellen Ahearn and Frank Sheehan and all the family,
Prayerful condolences to you and all the family on the sad news of the death of dear Mary Teresa Ahearn! As I believe you know, several times the last few years, I had wonderful talks with Mary when she was visiting her brother-in-law late Father Tom Ahearn at St. Teresa's or (summer of 2019) on the 2nd floor at Maryknoll, New York. My Dad, Willliam 'Duke' McIntire, grew up in Union Square, Somerville, and Frank X. Sheehan was one of my Dad's closest friends! As a seven-year old boy, I remember being with Kathleen and Frank at their house on White Horse Beach on 01 September 1939 (the day Hitler invaded Poland)! I was present with Mary and Ellen in Father Tom's room when he was anointed six months ago. And the early morning of August 23, 2019 (only a week or so before his death), Father Tom gave me a wonderful and heartfelt blessing as I headed for the airport to return to my work in Bangladesh, May Mary and Father Tom and all the faithful departed rest in peace, and may we all 'meet merrily in heaven'! I'll offer Mass with my tribal seminarians at 6 a,m, Monday, 27 January, at St. Xavier's Seminary here in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, for dear Mary's repose of soul. In Jesus' love, Father Bill McIntire MM, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, 9 a.m., 26 January 2020.
