Mellany Colson passed away peacefully at the age of 62 on August 15, 2024 after a long illness.
Born in Cuthbert, Georgia to Myrtha and Willie Colson, she lived in Detroit, Michigan to adulthood, relocated to Massachusetts in 1985 and was a resident of Norwood, MA for over 20 years. She worked in retail for many years after a career in nursing. Mellany was a music lover, enjoyed dancing and delighted all she met with her quick wit and sense of humor.
Mellany is preceded in death by both parents, a sister Regina and brother Anthony Colson. She is survived by her son Troy Colson and granddaughter Victoria Colson. She also leaves a sister, Phyllis Colson and niece Dontie Wilkinson, her husband Ryan and their children Maya and Trey along with several first and second cousins.

Funeral Services at Gillooly Funeral Home and Burial at Highland Cemetery will be private.
