

Nora (Flynn) Foley, 80, of Norwood, formerly of Hyde Park, suddenly, Saturday, November 22, 2014. Born in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland on August 17, 1934, Nora was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (McGuillicuddy) Flynn; the beloved wife of 56 years of John J. Foley of Norwood; the loving mother of Mary and her husband, Brian Hickey of Winchester, Margaret and her husband Gerry Murray of Dedham, the late Michael Foley and his wife, Margaret of Millis, Noreen Camelo of Melrose, the late John Foley and his wife, Jane of Mansfield, Eileen and her husband, John Roche of West Roxbury, Patrick and his wife, Stacey of Walpole; the cherished grandmother of Tommy John, Bridget, Siobhan, Maeve, Brendan, Ryan, John, Mairead, Liam, Morgan, Madison, Molly, Sinead, Devan, Erin, Maire, Kaleigh, Nora, Shaelin, Aislinn, Alison, Conor and Bria; the dear sister of Neilus, Joan, Francis, and May, all of Ireland, Dan of Pembroke and the late Theresa, Sean and Paddy; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. Nora worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Boston public schools for over 20 years prior to her retirement. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, at 10:30 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. Burial will follow at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 25, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
