Rita J. Rockett

Rita was a graduate of Emmanuel College of Boston and briefly worked for American Airlines before marrying and beginning a family. She was an avid reader and a dedicated solver of crossword puzzles. She was also a loyal follower of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, riding the ups and downs of their seasonal adventures. Her primary passion, however, was always her family, never tiring of hearing of their latest adventures, accomplishments and aspirations.

Beloved wife of the late John F. Rockett; loving mother of Geoffrey J. Rockett of Norwood, Christopher F. Rockett and his wife Jean of Harwich and Michael W. Rockett and his wife Deborah of Mansfield; cherished grandmother of Jill Rockett of New York City, Matthew Rockett of Medford and Meredith Rockett and Timothy Rockett, both of Mansfield; devoted sister of the late Lawrence Murphy, John Murphy, William Murphy and Catherine Sullivan. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Inurnment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. There will be no calling hours.
