Mr. Thomas A. Thornton

He was the beloved husband of the late Anna G. (Morrison) Thornton, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Loving father of Elizabeth A. Segerstrom and her husband John of Washington, Valerie E. Ryan and her husband Stephen of Washington, Anne Marie Haley and her husband of Norwood, and Thomas M. Thornton and his wife Annmarie of Foxboro; cherished grandfather of Brenda Croft, Eric Segerstrom, David Segerstrom, Sean Ryan, Suzanne Snell, Brian Haley, Lisa Balzarini, Andrew Thornton, and Rosemary Thornton; proud great-grandfather of Grace and Rachel Croft, Francesca and Julia Segerstrom, Hanna, Aiden and Brianne Ryan, Mackenzie, Stephen and Micah Snell, Keira and Cooper Haley, and Haley and Teagan Balzarini; devoted brother of the late Michael E. Thornton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, at 8:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood, then at 9:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 10 from 4:00 – 8:00pm in the funeral home.
