On December 25, 2021, Alfred Jacob Pickard, Sr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Alethia Pickard (nee Arnholter); devoted father of Alfred Pickard, Jr. and his partner Jill, Stephen Pickard and his partner Angie, Jeffrey Pickard, and their mother Donna Pickard, as well as his step-daughter Debra Smith; loving grandfather of Beau Smith and his wife Kari, Sam Pickard, Iris Pickard, Ben Pickard, Olivia Pickard, Chris Pickard, the late Nakoa Hohman, and the late Derek Smith; dear brother of Peggy Peters and her late husband Jerry, and the late Floyd Pickard, Jr. and his late wife Evelyn. Also survived by numerous loving extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 10-11 AM, at which time a memorial service will begin. Interment services will follow at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alfred's name to the St. Joseph Indian School at www.stjo.org.
