Angela Alice Rounis

On November 17, 2019, Angela Alice Rounis (nee Sikalis) passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Theodore Vatakis; devoted mother of Michael Anthony Vatakis and his wife Kimberly; loving grandmother of Angela M. Vatakis and Stephanie A. Vatakis Lauer; dear sister of John Sikalis, and the late Gus, Frances, and Nicholas Sikalis, Mary Verginakis, and Virginia Snyder; cherished godmother of Angela Sikalis. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair RD., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Angela will lie in state at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (2504 Cub Hill Rd, Parkville, MD), on Wednesday, from 10-10:30am, with a service to follow at 10:30am. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial donations in Angela’s name to the Senator Bob Hooper House, C/O Upper Chesapeake Foundation, 500 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Bel Air, MD 21014.
