On March 18, 2013 Betty Louise (nee Stover) Abshire passed away. Her friends and family knew her as Louise. She was born in Long Branch, W.Va. on Feb. 26, 1930. She met her husband, Glenn Morrell Abshire and married on July 11, 1947. They had six children, Glenn passed away on July 4, 1984 after a long illness. Louise is survived by 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and her sister Doris and brother in law Bill Arthur. Louise taught 2nd and 3rd grade special education classes for ten years in Baltimore City. She became a member of the Middle River Baptist Church in 1993 where she taught adult Bible classes. She enjoyed many Christian friends and traveling across the country with her sister and brother in law, Bill and Doris Arthur.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. (at Forge Rd) on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm; where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am. Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
