Carl May You Rest in Eternal Heavenly Peace 🙏

I'm just reading this obituary of a great person. A great employee of Merchant Bank, a great boss to me and a great friend 
Carl was my boss when I was in management training at the branch of Mercantile Bank at Charles and Chase Streets.
I learned so much about the banking job from him.
I always enjoyed our friendship outside the bank also.
Had a lot of good times with other employees and my friend at the time.
I enjoyed working with you everyday there at the bank.
May God Bless you in your heavenly home.

Endless softball games at Hamilton Rec, running grape fights and leaf battles with the neighborhood kids, playing catch on Sefton Ave. - Carl never stopped playing, even when the neighborhood kids woke him from a nap. Rest In Peace, kind neighbor.

Carl was a great neighbor to our family for many years.  When I traveled back to Baltimore from my home in Colorado, I’d make sure I stopped by to see him.  What a wonderful man!  He will be missed. 🙏💙

What a wonderful human being he was, I will always remember my days spent water skiing , going to the batting cage , pimlico , also fishing for rock fish with Carl , my brother will and I . You will truly be missed old buddy ,   your friends George & will burke

There is a sadness in my heart for such a wonderful man.  He was the best boss I ever had and a great friend.  I never had a job like that before where I couldn't wait to get to work every day.  Carl made you feel that way, it was very much a family setting.  I will never forget our Christmas parties, going to the track, and going water skiing.  He was generous, kind and was truly an amazing man, and I will miss him dearly.

Echoing other comments about Carl being kind and fun, these are things I saw across three generations of my family. Like Wayne, I first met Carl 60 years ago and he was like the older brother we never had. We benefited from his kindness and had fun, and he helped keep me on the right path through my late teens. Then when I was married with little kids, he played with them like they were his own. Just this week both my son and daughter, now in their forties, said the main things they remember about Carl was “laughter, kindness and good times.” Then there was my mother, whom Carl gave a ride to work on icy winter days when she feared driving. That one man can so positively affect many others, says it all about Carl—and why he will always be remembered for who he was, and the good he did for others whose lives intersected his.

So sorry to hear about Carl. He was a fun, kind man and even a better boss to me. He made his office a family and we all loved to come to work.  He treated us so good. I will never forget our crab feasts and boating outings , Christmas dinners at the Prime Rib and trips to the track. We had so much fun with him. He will be so missed but always remembered in our hearts.
