On October 23, 2021, Charles Allen Lyon, Sr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Lee Lyon; devoted father of Linda Lyon, and Charles Lyon, Jr. and his wife Carolin; loving grandfather of Taylor McCann and her husband Jordan. Also survived by his sister Pat Cooke.
For many years, Charles was a member of the Baltimore Yankee-Rebels Drum and Bugle Alumni Corps. In his prime, his passions included coaching a variety of sports and umpiring softball. In addition he was actively involved with the local YMCA.
