Dave was the beloved husband of Marian Malinski, his wife and best friend, with whom he shared a love story that began when they were teenagers. He was a devoted father to David Malinski Jr. (Colleen) and Mary Julia Butz, and a proud and loving grandfather to Beatrice, Timothy, Helen, Edward, Colton, and Cassidy, each of whom brought him joy and laughter. He is also survived by his sisters Sharon Trainor and Francis Parr.
Dave was a man who could fix just about anything—and if you needed help, he was already on his way. He was the person family, friends, and neighbors could always count on. He enjoyed road trips with his wife, and spending time with his beloved dogs Bella and Alli, who could be frequently found on his lap.
Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 3–5 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church (Fullerton), 8420 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
