David James Rogers, Sr., age 83, of Perry Hall, MD passed away on May 8, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Mildred “Millie” Ann Rogers (nee Ward); devoted father of David James Rogers, Jr. (Donna DeClemente), and Mardette Marie Wetzelberger (Michael King); loving grandfather of Aubrey Wetzelberger, and Brittan Wetzelberger (Collin Haslup); dear brother of William Rogers (Bonnie) and Dawn Shiflet; cherished uncle of Lauren Shiflet, Patrick Rogers, Adrienne Koester, Kelly Sanford, and David Sanford and their families. Also survived by his beloved granddog Roo.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at St. John Lutheran Church, 8808 Harford Rd., Parkville MD 21234. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
