Edward John Bartenfelter, age 84, of Bowley’s Quarters, MD, passed away on October 17, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Bartenfelter (nee Mullhausen); devoted father of Karen Chenowith and her partner Jon Sipos, Kenneth Bartenfelter and his partner Kathy Piunti, and Kimberly Oliver and her husband Dave; dear brother of James Bartenfelter and the late John Bartenfelter, Sr.; loving grandfather of Bryan Chenowith and his wife Kendra, Brad Chenowith and his wife Danielle, Steven Bartenfelter and his partner Allison Orellana, Kevin Bartenfelter, Matthew Oliver, Mark Oliver and his wife Amanda and Ben Oliver and his wife Lynzie; cherished great grandfather of Corrine, Cole, Brooks, Taylor, Madison, Addison, and one on the way. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 2-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen Catholic Church, (Bradshaw, MD), on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 10 A.M. Interment to follow at Highview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Edward’s name to Gilchrist Hospice at www.gilchristcares.org
