He was my good friend. I have not seen him for 16 years. Time is no barrier to the impact he had on my life. He was generous, empathetic, kind and so fun to be around. He will never be gone. On day one of freshmen year at Curley the first new friend I made was a little guy with a huge smile that filled the room.  I was so grateful because it felt like the mayor of Archbishop Curley had befriended me.  He always joked that he considered me an honorary Italian.  A beautiful soul that will be missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.......Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Rest in peace Fergy. I didn't know you very well but I've heard so many great things about you that I regret the opportunity to do so. We all have significant moments in our lives.  Well I had one on July 9,2011.  It was Fergy's funeral.  Wow.  What an event.  657 people attended.  I was a pall bearer and was happy to be that close to Fergy.  Upon carrying the casket into church, wow, what a sight.  The church was packed.  Standing room only.  Fergy, you were loved by many. You know Ferg, instead of being a CPA, you should have been a politician.  With what I seen over the past week, I think you could have been a Governor of Maryland. Fergy, you had 310 Facebook friends, 657 people attending your funeral, and countless others attending your viewing. You will be missed by many.  And Fergy, when I see you again, I wanna get your AUTOGRAPH, because you are a hero!

Fergy, the blizzard in the early 80s when you were stuck at my parents house for one week is one of my fondest memories of you. You came for my birthday but we got an opportunity to spend one week together. I considered you to be like an older brother. You always made time for me and treated me with respect even though I was your junior. Thanks for friendship during those years

Always remember Fergy's beautiful spirit that surrounded you.  What first came to my mind when  I heard the news, was a picture of Fergy's contagious smile.  He will always be remembered by his loving & happy touch. Fergy, you will be missed and Thank You for being in my life.

The WNST family was stunned this Tuesday to hear of the death of our friend Fernando Commodari, known to everyone as “Fergie in White Marsh”.  Fergie was killed in an early morning car accident on Falls Road, leaving behind two wonderful children and an overwhelming number of friends and family members who were impacted by his efforts as a man and a father.  I stopped by the funeral home on Thursday night and can honestly say I’ve never seen such an outpouring of love and affection for someone.  It was a remarkable testament to how many people Fergie touched and the way folks who knew him became connected to the man.  I briefly spoke with his brother Tony and the first words he said to me were, “My brother was a real rock star, wasn’t he Drew?”  As I said at that moment, and again right now, “Yes, he was, Tony.  Fergie was a rock star.”  Every single time we had some sort of charitable endeavor at WNST, he always made an effort to contribute.  He showed up with coats, jackets and gloves last December during our coat drive for Helping Up Mission.  He made an appearance at The Fullerton Pub last winter with two huge bags of cans during our drive to help stock the shelves of the Canton Baptist Church.  That he was a semi-regular caller to the show is neither here nor there, even though he always had a smile on his face that came through loud and clear through the radio.  That Fergie was a GREAT man, though, is what’s important.  We will be putting together a fund-raising event sometime in the next couple of months to make a contribution to the scholarship fund that has been established for Fergie’s two children, son Cameron and daughter Adrianna.  RIP Fergie, and please know what you did while you were here on Earth impacted more people than you ever knew.

It has been so long but the memories live on.  The times you spent in Montreal and the summer I came down to Baltimore I will forever cherish. I remember most of all how you would make everyone laugh so hard that they couldn't breath.  I rememebr my dad and Uncle Sestino laughing so hard they began to cry from pain! From all the posts and pictures you truly turned into the true light of the party and an outstanding human being.  You will be truly missed.  I am sure that you will continue to look over everyone and make sure that they safe.  God knew what he was doing when he sent for you - you are needed to make this entire world a better place. As we have all seen and experienced, Fergy leaves behind a legacy of caring for others.  His legacy carries on even now. In the hours following his death, his wonderful son Cameron could be seen consoling his cousin Robbie because Cameron realized that Robbie had lost his godfather when Fergy passed.  Fergy can look down with pride on the wonderful legacy he has passed on to his children and hopefully all of us.

You will never be forgotten.  Please watch over all of us until we meet again one day. Rest in peace.

Fergy touched so many lives.  The photo gallery on line is a true testament to the person he was.  I have such fond memories of Luzerne Ave especially on New Years Eve.  Fergy  sang a song in Italian that to this day I remember vividly and still sing the one part I can remember...Quanto è bella lei tu mamma no lo sai.  As some of you know, our family honored Fergy by naming our puppy after him. He was cute and loveable, so much like Fergy!  I will cherish all the memories I have of you Fergy.  May you rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. My son was in Adriana's class at St. Ursula. I would see Fergie at birthday parties and I could tell that he was a wonderfu father. I will keep him and the Commodari family in my prayers.

Our Families did have a lot of good times together!!!  We had great Times in Sea Isle City at my parents Beach House when both our families would get together. I know we all loved to eat too!!  Another new tradition for your family was when I introduced them to St. Anthony’s Italian Festival in Wilmington DE. That then became a big hit for your family, and cousins etc. for many years. There again food, rides for kids, and entertainment were all involved!!!  “Fergy”, I must share the likes I have always had in you; your humor, your congeniality, your friendship with everyone, sincerity, the time you spend with kids, & the faith you have had. You have always been one Great Guy, and I have always highly respected you. You shall never be forgotten in my time, nor Christopher, and Andrews  time. They have too many good times to remember you by, and they have chosen to cherish those memories forever.” Fergy”, we all miss you dearly since you have parted us. I know this must be what God has chosen, so until we meet again, Enjoy Eternity, RIP.
