George Ed "Obie" Pilker

On October 31, 2018, George Ed "Obie" Pilker, age 84, peacefully passed away. He was the beloved husband of Delores V. Pilker (nee Fullano) for 61 years. He was the devoted father of Anthony Pilker, Debora Sullivan, Bonita Lancaster and her husband David, Renee' Pilker and Nadine Pilker; cherished grandfather of Ryan Lancaster, Megan Lancaster and Travis, Hannah Lancaster and the late Nicole Comi; dear brother of the late Helen Poole and brother-in-law of Lou Fullano and his wife Margaret, dear uncle of Lynda and Dave Allen and their families.

Ed was Longshoreman, local 333, for 55 years and thoroughly enjoyed his years working at the Domino Sugar docks and looking at their beautiful, neon sign. While relaxing, liked watching old TV westerns such as Laramie and The Rifleman. Ed was a long time parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.

Family and friends may gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. (9705 Belair Road Nottingham, MD 21236) on Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at:
