Jean Schaefer

Anna ‘Jean’ Schaefer, 90 of White Marsh, Maryland,

passed away on August 3, 2021 of natural causes. Jean was born to parents Catherine Butterhoff and Henry Herfel on June 18, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from business and modeling school in 1946 and went on to work as a secretary at City Hall in Baltimore City during the 1950’s. Jean was united in holy matrimony to Louis M. Schaefer, September 11, 1954. They were blessed with 4 children. Her husband, Louis, preceded her death in July 2016. Her daughter Gail preceded her death in 1960 at the tender age of 2. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Jean had a passion for traveling, great food, dancing, gardening, singing, and reading. Jean was an active member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in a Fullerton, MD for the past 60 years. She is survived by her loving children; Daughter, Karen; Son, Michael and his wife Diedra with 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Cole and Mattie; Son Mark and his wife Kimberly.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Monday, August 9, 2021, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Saint Joseph Church of Fullerton, 8420 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236 at 10:00 AM.
