John Howard Hoerr, Sr., age 87, of Stewartstown, PA passed away on December 25, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty Anne Hoerr (nee Stabile); devoted father of John Howard Hoerr, Jr. and his wife Kim, Natalie Ann D’Antoni and her husband Christopher, Sr., and Eric Paul Hoerr and his wife Nicole; loving grandfather of Zachary Hoerr and his wife Iva, Matthew Hoerr and his wife Victoria, Alexandra Bosley and her husband Adam, Christopher D’Antoni, Jr. and his girlfriend Sophia Martonick, Francis D’Antoni, Payton Hoerr, and Sophia Hoerr; cherished great-grandfather of Lily Hoerr, Hailey Hoerr, and one on the way; dear brother of Sandy Burleson, the late Joan Clegg, the late Robert Hoerr, Jr., the late Ronald Hoerr, and the late Regina “Sam” Auld. Also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 3-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. A funeral service for John will be held on, Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery (Dundalk, MD). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
