On December 21, 2020, John F. X. O’Brien passed away. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen “Marlene” O’Brien (nee Foppiano); devoted father of Kelly O’Brien Wassman and her husband Greg; loving grandfather of Olivia, Zach, and Victoria Wassman. He is survived by his loving sister Anne Muth and cherished sister in law Elizabeth "Betty" O'Brien. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph O'Brien and sister Mary Kramer and her late husband Robert. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID restrictions, the family will not be having services at this time. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
