Though i'm gone
And no longer there
I leave behind sorrow
And great despair.

I've gone away
With wings in flight
Driven towards eternal light..

Remember me now
For in heaven i reside
And hold me close deep inside...

Dry your tears
For i had to go
To live with the lord
In his blissful glow....

Shock is what I felt when I read of Joh's passing.  Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of this wonderful human being and poet.  
Joh was one of the first poets I met on Allpoetry and inspired me in so many positive ways.  He was always upbeat, cheerful and so very kind.

I am Michael McCrae. I have been an active member of Allpoetry.com for many years and during the time I have been blessed to read poet Jon  Coe. I have many bookmarks to catch up on my reading and I expect to find more of Jon's writings to enjoy and be blesse by. I am sad for his passing, but happy for his place in eternity's annals. To all who mourn his passing, my prayers and my heart.

Our condolences go out to the Jon Gary Victor Coe Family.  How important it is to celebrate a life well lived and to cherish the many happy memories that your family has shared together.  May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again.  Here is a wonderful thought.  One reads like this.  "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."  Acts 24:15

and I enjoyed his writing and sense of humor .
my parents were from Great Britain
and Jon mentioned his homeland .

My condolences to Jon's loved ones ,
he will be missed 

I will dedicate a contest to him 

I didn't know him personally, but Jon Coe was a familiar face on allpoetry, his contests were my favourites because he almost always had really inspiring prompts! 
To be honest, I had it set up so I'd get notified whenever he set one up because he'd choose really cool images that just clicked with my imagination really well. I looked forward to each one.

I rarely won any of those contests but that just made me work harder and it was really fun anticipating whether he'd like the poem I wrote or not each time as I couldn't really predict his taste.

I can safely say that I wouldn't have wrote some of my favourite works of mine if it hadn't been for Jon Coe's contests giving me stimulation whenever I fell into a rut.
If it's possible to be a pillar of support for someone without ever really meeting or knowing them, then he did that for me. He inspired me to create and helped me through several writers' blocks. 
I never met him, but he helped me immensely and I think that's probably indicative of the kind of person he was in general, I'm only sorry I can't thank him more now that he's gone.
I'll miss seeing his cat profile pic pop up in my feed, I already do.
My sincerest, most heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.

It is sad to hear about such a bright star passing , such a big heart, my thoughts go out to all who knew Jon, friends ,family , followers , I will always remember the comments he left on my pieces , the support and encouragement he used to give , an amazing gem xx

Jon ,you made me laugh a lot. I will miss you so much.

I always giggled at the way John laid  out the rules for his contests and woe be to those who did not follow them.  He was such a fine poet and I will miss him terribly. I hope someone will follow in his footsteps and hold contests in his stead.  I am too ill to hold contests, but give points to those whose contests I find worthy.  My deepest sympathy to all his family and loved ones- a star has winked out in the night sky on this date!!

Such an amazing person, poet, friend. I've know him since I joined one of the poetry groups he is in. (in 2015) It has been a joy to be
his friend and to hang out in 'Partners in Crime' with him. HIs poetry is really fun to read and he ran many contests that were awesome too. My favorite poem that I ever wrote for one of his contests is about a cat (of course) and written with the song 'The coat of many colors' in my mind. He awarded me the gold. I (we) will miss him very much. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family as they deal with the sad loss. May he RIP... until we meet again over the clouds one day. I bet he is reciting a poem to someone he loved that passed before him up there somewhere right now... and I bet they are both smiling... So sorry for the loss.

I didn't know Jon personally aside from through his poetry and the many wonderful poetry contests he ran on allpoetry.com. But I do know that he was a very talented writer, and all of us on the website who knew him will miss him a great deal.
I am very sorry for your loss.

Jon was a true Renaissance man. He could have a  conversation about anything. I always enjoyed having a conversation with him as he was genuinely interested.  Perhaps unbeknownst to many, he knew a lot about a lot of things. Jon was a gentle soul, a good man. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Much love to Kate, who was not only his wife, but his true life companion for these many years. 

I will always remember Jon as one of the most decent human beings I have known. He had the soul of a poet and his passing  will leave a hole in many lives.  In Judaism we say, “May his memory be a blessing“.

My children loved hanging out with Mr. Jon when they were little and spent time at Miss Kate’s. As a fellow writer I loved reading his poetry. He will be missed and we send our condolences to Miss Kate and the family.
