I'm so sad for you.  I kow you were close with your dad.   Not that I knew him.  
Not sure this is appropriate but I still remember when you would come into my room at PHS and plop your laptop down so we could figure yet another tech thing out.  We didn't do too badly for a PE and Home Ec teacher.

Uncle Ken was married to my Mum's cousin, Auntie May.  As we lived in the UK and they in the USA, we didn't see much of them as there was no FaceTime or Skype back then, but when they visited the UK our whole family turned out and I believe they had a wonderful time. I moved to Canada 25 years ago and in recent years Ken and I Skyped a few times and boy he loved to talk!! He loved to share his tech expertise and more importantly, his sorrow when he lost Auntie May in 2013. He and Karen continued to keep in touch with my Mum, Doreen, even when she moved to her care home last summer. He was a kind, gentle, caring man and an example to many. RIP Uncle Ken xxxx Alison, Ernst and Alex Maas in Penticton BC, Canada

I have lots of happy memories of our trip to Baltimore in 2019 and all the wonderful days out with Ken & Karen, he will be missed.

  Gail and I are sorry to hear of Dads passing. I was really hoping
to play 18 together one day. Maybe there is a better course in Heaven, where we can get together! Our Thoughts and Prayers are with You and the rest of Your Family.


Karen, We pray you may find comfort and peace in knowing that your parents are back together and joyous in His presence. We'll miss Ken's smile and both his and May's humor.

Ken, you will be sorely missed.  In addition to being a great friend with Mel and I, Ken and May were great friends with my parents.   I will always treasure the softball trips, baseball games, adventures at the beach, Friday night outings for dinner, the sharing of great stories, your adorable smile and laugh, your continuous support as a friend with all of Karen’s friends, your love for children (especially with Jeremy as you played games, puzzles, miniature golf, and other forms of FUN).  We have shared a lifetime of memories together (Ken, Karen, and May), and I love you for it. 
I will share a short story.  
One year, long ago, while Karen, Ken, and May were vacationing at Ocean City, MD, with the Whitney’s (Lucy, Al, and Carol, and Jeremy). My dad, (Al Whitney), my uncle (Joe Li Pira), Ken Locke, and I went golfing at Ocean Pines Golf Course.  We were on the back nine holes and came up to a green that has a recessed tee area. In addition to being recessed, there are huge trees on both sides of the tee area for about 10 yards down each side of the green.  For those of you who do not golf, it is exceedingly long and narrow.    
 First up, was Ken. He teed off and hit one of the side trees and his ball rebounded into the woods. His ball missed the fairway by a lot, but the ball was never to be found again!  
Next up, was my uncle. He hit the same tree with the same result as Ken.  The poor tree now has two huge gashes in it.  Then it was my dad’s turn. He teed off, hit the same tree; except, his ball rebounded directly BACK toward the tee off markers, and we all had to duck to keep from being hit. It was so ridiculously funny; Ken and my Uncle had fallen to the ground with laughter.    It was my turn……perfect shot down the fairway.  I do not think the three guys every got over it but the laughter we all shared that day will be remembered forever.  If only I would have had a cell phone to show the damaged tree.

What a beautiful video memory of your Dad's life!  His devotion to your Mother and to you are so obvious.  Even though these days are  difficult, you have many memories of your Dad which will live in your heart always.

Ken and I were the best of friends. In the USAF in the UK we had some good times together. He was my best friend.  I won't forget you. RIP  RB

So many memories where to start. From sitting on the kerb watching the 4th July parade wearing Old Navy t shirts, to days at the ocean, saving Ken' Bob' Locke from a freak wave taking Him out,  days out and nights in with great company and wonderful chat. 
Karen your Mum and Dad always made special memories when we visited or you visited us. They were kind, loving, caring and a special Uncle and Aunt. 

All the happy times we have spent together. All our trips around the States and UK. One memory sticks in our minds.The last time we visited,and went to Washington DC. We got to the station to get the train back to Baltimore. It was just about to leave, and Ken who by now had trouble walking. Ran down the platform and we had trouble catching up.Boy we laughed. One of countless lovely memories of Ken.

Ken was a friend and colleague for over 70 years. We worked together at Bethlehem Steel together with similar, parallel work histories in  the metallurgical department. Ken was conscientious and an great example to everyone with whom he worked and a good friend to all.  We had many good laughs together over the years as I think of many of them them now and chuckle to myself.  Good bye old friend.

Karen, I always loved seeing you and your Dad enjoying dinner on your deck !     He always seemed so happy to be spending time with you.    

I know you will miss him greatly, but try to remember  all the happy times!
