“Margie” was born on July 15, 1950 in Baltimore Maryland the second daughter of what would be five children to Marguerite and Hafey Hyle. She grew up in Govans on McCabe Avenue and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and was a 1968 graduate of Seton High School. After high school she worked in the Baltimore City Department of Finance and went on to have a long career as a realtor with Long and Foster. Margie also devoted much of her time and energy to St. Michael the Archangel, running their school store and being a volunteer extraordinaire.
Bill McLean followed her home from school one day in the fourth grade and the rest is history. Bill and Margie began dating when she was 14 years old and he was the love of her life…they celebrated 51 years on marriage in August. They had two children, Bill and Barbara whom she devoted her life to fully. Family was everything to her. She was blessed to have five grandchildren who meant the world to her and she retired from real estate to help care for them. Grammy was the best and delighted in spoiling her loves with everything and anything and she took the time to know and love them all.
Margie was an amazing cook and baker, she made the most amazing cakes for every occasion and could turn an ordinary day into a party. She had a wit and sense of humor that could not be matched. To know her was to love her and she devoted her life to making the people she loved feel special.
