Mary Katherine Melville

On Monday, September 29, 2025, Mary Katherine Melville, 99 years and 9 months, of Perry Hall, MD passed away peacefully. She was the beloved sister of the late William F. Melville, Jr. and wife Shirley Melville (deceased) and sister of the late Ethel Wille and husband Gerard F. Wille, Jr. Also, she will be dearly missed by nieces April Clark and husband William (deceased) and their daughter, Katie Clark and husband Eric Bobak, Barbara Ward and husband Stephen, Loretta Kisielewski and husband David, Joanne Merrill and husband Albert (deceased) and dear nephews Gerard F. Wille, III and wife Linda, John M. Wille and wife Katie. Many great-nieces and great-nephews and many great-great nephews, cousins and friends will also miss her.

Mary earned her Bachelor of Science from Johns Hopkins University, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland. She was proud to have earned her CPA on her first try and was a proud member of several accounting organizations including the AICPA and MACPA.

Since moving from Waverly to Perry Hall in 1973, she was an active parishioner and volunteer of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fullerton. She believed in donating her time, talent, and treasures.

As the “family photographer” she captured generations in Super 8 movies and photographs. Once retired, she pursued her love of ceramics and learned to throw pottery. At age 70, she participated in weekend long “community woodfire” at Baltimore Clayworks.

Mary loved to travel. She visited Hawaii and Ireland with tour groups from St. Isaac Jogues Church, traveled the USA via motorhome, and visited the Grand Cayman Islands and Great Britain among other destinations with dear family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, Saturday, October 25, at, 10:00 a.m., St. Joseph, Fullerton, 8420 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD. Inurnment will follow the service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
