My condolences to Pat and her family. Pat was always a friendly face at Baltimore City SDAT. She took pride on her role as a Commercial Manager and took even more pride in her family. Pat was a great person and a great soul. I will miss her dearly.

I also had the pleasure and joy working with Pat in 1985 at SDAT.
She was well informed,proficient and knowledgeable in many
roles and responsilities in our city office. Pat reminded everyone 
in our office about my age and wanted to  know when will I retire.
Giving the impression that I had worked there when Baltimore 
street was a dirt road. Well Pat,I did retire  a month ago and 
Baltimore street hasn't changed.
  I will truly miss you. As they say in hebrew/yiddish you are a "Mentsh"  a person of integrity,honor and someone to admire.

I, too, have worked with Patty since she began @ SDAT, and I totally agree with Renee's reflections.  When Pat began in 1985, she was "Patty Murphy", and the half of the guys in the office who were unmarried quickly took notice, as did a guy working for Licensing and Regulation, named Dennis.  She was always  cute, together, an perky.
Though I must confess to teasing her about her variations of hair  color over the years.   Fast forward, Pat rose through the ranks from entry level Assessor to Commercial/Industrial Appraiser and ultimately, the Manager of that section.
Patty would still, occasionally, reflect on a training inspection I took her on to Goetze's Caramel cream factory on Madison St.   Not for any technical or professional exposure, but rather that we got a free bag of Goetze's Caramel creams on the way out the door. 
Now in a full circle moment, having once been Pat's manager she became my manager in the last years of my contractual work with her at SDAT, ending this past September.  
She was indeed a colleague, contemporary, and friend.  I was proud to see her be the,  "go to guy" she had become.  She has gone way too soon, I will miss her,  she will be missed.  Rita and I extend our love condolences to family.

I worked with Pat for years at tbe State of Maryland Assessments and Taxation Department Baltimore City office. She was a delightful person amd I have many wonderful memories of her. She was taken away much too soon.

I worked with Pat in the Baltimore assessment office for over 20 years. Pat was only a couple years out of college when she joined our team while most of us were in our late 20s or early 30s. We used to tease her that we were all a product of the 50’s, although she was quick to point out that she was barely that having been born in September of 1959! After that, she learned everyone in the office’s birthdays so she was our go to person when their special day arrived. Meanwhile Pat never seemed to age. She always was meticulous about her appearance. Everything was perfect, although she had one of the messiest offices, papers all over the place! She was also one of the most loyal allies you could ask for. She always stood her ground if there was an injustice to our group. Also very caring and dependable. We used to have an office coed softball team and though she never played she attended every game. One game I hurt my hand on a play and she drove me to the hospital and waited in the ER until I was released and drove me back to the field. I’ll never forget that. Since I retired I’ve only seen her at happy hours when our group would meet a couple times a year but we’d have conversations just like the old times. I love and will miss you Pat. Heaven has gained a true angel.

Pat was an exceptional human being! She always made me feel like I matter and valued me as person…she had an amazing spirit!
