Richard Vaughn Smith, age 64, of Rosedale, MD passed away on April 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Lee Smith (nee Barnes); devoted father of Dr. Kellie N. Smith and her husband Michael Swecker, and Tyler V. Smith and his wife Dana Smith; loving grandfather of Riley A. Smith, Easter V.E. Swecker, Birdie L.R. Swecker, and Fox L.M. Swecker; dear brother of Tracey Smith, and Lori Smith and her wife Linda.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11 A.M. at Camp Chapel United Methodist Church, 5000 E. Joppa RD, Perry Hall, MD 21128. Interment services are private. In honor of Richard’s love of Hawaiian shirts, his family asks that you please wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt for the visitations on Sunday.
