Tony Barrientos-Joaquin

On December 19, 2021, Tony Barrientos Joaquin passed away very unexpectedly. Tony was born on September 20, 1994 in Tustin, California. Tony was the eldest child born to Antonio Barrientos Floriano and Maria Barrientos. From the very beginning, Tony was a character. He was always laughing, joking and making everyone smile.

During his childhood, Tony’s family lived in many different places– California, Arizona, Texas until the family finally put down roots in Maryland. Tony was a student in the Baltimore City Public System. He attended the Friendship Academy of Science & Technology where he graduated with his high school diploma in 2014. From the day the door of his high school opened until long after he graduated, Tony was an important member of his school community. He was always looking out for the younger students on the campus while also supporting the school’s commitment to serving the needs of those under its care. He continued to support members of the FAST family even after high school.

Tony was a loveable giant who adored his family. On July 7th, 2013, he met the love of his life his fiancée Juana A. Juarez. Together they were blessed with their daughter Layla Isabel Barrientos and their second child, a daughter due to arrive in

February 2022.

Tony was a warm, funny, caring, and a noble man who completely dedicated himself to his family and everyone else in need around him. Tony had an infinite love for Amine and Sports, specifically football( GO EAGLES) and video games. He leaves behind to mourn: His parents Antonio Floriano and Maria Barrientos, his only sibling–Celeste Barrientos Joaquín, his fiancée Juana A. Juarez, their daughter Layla I. Barrientos, his nephew Ricardo F. Landeros, his niece Johanna A. Landeros, his brother-in-law Ricardo Landeros and a host of relatives, friends, coworkers, and colleagues.

Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on Monday, December 27, 2021, 1-5 p.m., with a funeral service at 5 p.m. Interment Private.
