Wyteasa Walker

Celebrating the Life of Wyteasa Walker (“Tee”) Wyteasa Walker, lovingly known to many as “Tee,” passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, surrounded by love, after a courageous and graceful battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and a nurturing spirit that touched everyone blessed to know her.

Born on November 25, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, Tee lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and deep love for others. She carried a quiet strength that comforted those around her and a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. Her laughter was healing, her presence reassuring, and her heart endlessly giving.

Tee dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She earned her nursing degree in 1991 and began her nursing career with a deep commitment to compassion and service. She later joined Franklin Woods Center, where she spent 24 years devoted to caring for others, holding many roles throughout her tenure and growing into a respected leader, including serving as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). She retired in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, mentorship, and heartfelt care.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Kevin Walker; her loving children, Aneesah Butler (Shamai Butler) and Sabrena Smith; her bonus daughter, April Watson Hayes; her brother in law, Eric Walker; and her cherished grandchildren, Dimani Butler (Sara Butler), Amaya Butler, Daylin Butler, Jamel Smith Jr., and Jaiden Smith. She was also joyfully awaiting the arrival of her soon to be great grandchild, Noa Mae Butler. Tee’s love extended even to her beloved fur babies, Pebbles and Autumn Walker, who brought her comfort and joy.

She is also survived by her siblings, Lachita Logan, Sirleta Stinnette, her twin sister Mylesa Stinnette, Wennita Stinnette, and Remun Stinnette; and her stepmother, Alice Stinnette. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marietta Foote Stinnette; her father, Howard Stinnette; and her siblings, Decador Stinnette and Leo “Peewee” Stinnette. Tee will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers, and all whose lives were made better by her love and kindness. Though her physical presence is gone, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught, the strength she modeled, and the love she gave so freely. In her final days, Tee was honored with a Nightingale Tribute, a sacred nursing ceremony recognizing her compassion and dedication — a beautiful reflection of a life spent caring for others.
