

Zenaida Winnik , 97, of Baltimore, MD, died peacefully at Gilchrist Hospice Care after suffering a stroke. Zenaida was born in 1914 in Kobryn, Poland to Adrian Androczuk and Evdokija Kastelanczik. She is predeceased by her husband Boleslaw Winnik, brother Stepan Ostapuk and daughter Halina Dubiniecki. She is survived by her sister Fekla Denisyuk (Stepan), grandchildren Christine (Mike) and Abigail Dubiniecki (Zal), nephews Valery (Valentina) and Alex Denisyuk (Margarita), great-grandchildren, Kierahn, Joshua, and Asya, and many great-nieces and nephews. Zenaida was a dedicated Christian who supported numerous charities and missionary work throughout her life. Later she moved to to Warsaw, Poland, where she and her husband participated in Christian outreach programs to proclaim the gospel. After immigrating to the United States in 1968, she became a member of the Slavic Church of Christ in Baltimore. Until her stroke, Zenaida demonstrated a strong passion for life and marveled every day at the beauty of God's world.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Road (at Forge Road), where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10 AM, with burial service to follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery (5598 Trumps Mill Road, Baltimore, MD).
